The Boy Dan does good

So, Edinburgh attracted loads of riders from around the Uk and Schlapp were represented by Messers Huff, Norfolk and the Boy Dan. While Mr Huff scrubbed some more skin off after sliding acrross the track in the kiein, Mr Norfolk complained bout his sore legs, the Boy Dan was winning a brace of events and bringing in the dosh. Great riding!
A few days earlier Dan had won the junior omnium at Scumchester beating a good number of class riders an looks to be coming on form for the Irish International in Dublin later in July.

Yo ! Tandems everywhere

Yep, them Johnny foreigners turned up from germany and Holland to ride the Vital tandem meeting to make up 16 machines in all in what was a brill meet. Great racing all evening meant that our Jon N - riding with Ms McGlynn MBE took the overall honours after beating Story/Wadden and Ratze/Moll in the sprints then taking the kilo and a high placing in the Kilo. Mmmm, Jon's on fire !

Brill riding by Ellen Hunter and Jo Wilman in the flying 1 km record attempt meant a new GB record with 1min 5 secs!!!!

Scottish tracks

Jo Wilman continued her good form with a few wins in the regional track omnium round in Dundee at the weekend.
With wins in the keirin sprint and close 2nd in the points races, Jo was only beaten by one boy in one race and won the womens section easily. Good girl!

road racing

So this weekend, tracey Crolla took herself off to Preston arena for a spot of 'road' racing . In her first attempt Tracey took a fine 4th place overall and 1st in the Ladies category. no bad for a first race. No content with that Tracey then rode another race coming in 2 nd Lady. Briliant training for Tracey's tandem record attempt next weekend with Christine Higgs.
