Medals at Welsh Track Nationals

Congratulations to our man Gwyn Carless who has been riding the Newport boards over the weekend at the Welsh Nationals and has taken a well deserved silver in the kilo and a bronze in the sprint competitions. Great results and preparation in the run up to the Masters Nats and Europeans in July.

We are the Champions

"Beat you" says Jonny Jam-Man Norfolk.

Jon Norfolk and Anthony Kappes take the National Tandem Sprint title at Newcastle yesterday. Silver medal went to Simon Churton and Anthony Runner-Boy Gill.

I only saw the semi's and the finals but the sprinting was outstanding. How could it not be with pilots tandem pairs like these mixing it with Dave LeGrys and Neil Campbell as a pair and Ben Elliott and John Saysell.

Well done Schlapp riders.

Schlapper 1st & 2nd at tandem champs

Just been reading about the win by Mr Norfolk and Ant [AKA The Jam-Man] winning the national tandem beating last years champions Simon & RunnerBoy.
Well done boys. Just think yourself lucky Ellen didn't ride!

BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK.....

Greetings....

Well check this out - not only can I ride a bike in a reasonably straight line, I can also use one of these keyboard things too!!!! (Having said that - there's what seems to be a rodent on a wire sitting next to the keyboard, not sure what that does.... I'll bring some 'icheese' next time)

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the tandem sweatfest last Sunday. Proper hot!
Really well done to Jeanette for holding it all together, probably found at home now with a damp teatowel on her forehead...

Well everyone, keep on training hard and representing the old ship named Schlapp, looking forward to a successful year as I'm sure you all are. I'll be in touch on here soon with some stories and gossip!!!

Word to ya Mothers
Jon

Another sucessful tandem meeting! Yay!

What a lovely warm day we had for spending it indoors! I was glad to watch all our lovely Schlappers getting hot and sweaty and strutting their stuff on the boards! :-0

With Messrs. Norfolk and Kappes trotting out a 10.2 for the 200m tt - a new British record - and generally making the competition their own it was an exciting afternoon. Lots of 11's for the 200m tt appeared - I haven't got the times and no doubt they will appear on here. My favourite 200m tt was Gwyn's and Ski's as Gwyn wrestled the bike across the line :-)

Thanks to everyone for supporting the event - riders and helpers - without every single person there we could never have pulled it off. thanks to the helpers for just getting on with their jobs and making my day an easier one.

Hopefully I've managed to include a link included with Nick's photos of the day - thanks Nick. And best wishes to the Irish girls after their crash - here's hoping they're back to fitness soon.

Roll on next year........????????.........................aaaaaaaaa

tandem world records

Well done to Jon N, Ant Jam-Man and Elle H who all broke world records today as well as winning their Worlds Cups. Brilliant
On a related note, if anyone isin contact with Jon Gribbin, can you ask him to get the club tandem back to the club as he is not using it, s no longer a member and other people may like to use it.
